2013 Bug Camp Registration

We are now accepting registrations for the 2013 Bug Camps!

Two camps will be offered (please only choose one).  July 15-19 and July 22-25.  Times are 9am to 1pm.  We will provide two snacks, but no lunch.  If your child has special dietary needs or is a picky eater, you are welcome to bring a snack along.

This camp is for ages 7 and up.  If you happen to have a younger budding scientist or entomologist, we are now offering a Tots Science Camp option.  Click here for registration and further information.  This is a short, 2 hour day.  Parents of young children are invited and strongly encouraged to stay.  We will have a lesson, hands on activity, snack and experiment that is age appropriate.  Ages 2-5/6 are invited.  Cost is $20 per session and we have two sessions planned - BUGS! June 14th and PLANTS! June 28th.  If you need more information on the camps and what we'll be doing, please contact us at 210-467-6575.

If your camper has attended camp before, we have two options for you.  If your child has kept all the materials from their kit and does not need a new one, the cost is $50.  This also includes more killing solution (ethyl acetate), vials, and pins - the things they likely have used up if they have been collecting.

If your child is like most, and has lost many of the items in their kit, EXCEPT their net, the cost is $75 and includes a new collection box with labels, label pen, killing jars, killing solution dropper bottle, magnifying glass, spreading board, pinning block and collection box.  It will NOT include the net or forceps.

Of course, if you want an entire new kit with a new net, just indicate on the registration form.
